About us

Originally founded in 1991 by Ogden Memorial Presbyterian Church and formerly named Mothers’ Morning Out at Ogden, Ogden Junior Preschool has evolved to meet the needs of a young community into the traditional preschool that it is today.  

Our program began as an opportunity for stay-at-home mothers to have some time to themselves.  Over the course of 27+ years we have developed into a traditional preschool specifically for two-year-olds serving Chatham and the surrounding areas of Summit, Madison, New Providence, Florham Park and Berkeley Heights. 

At our preschool, we embrace the Creative Curriculum to inspire young learners through hands-on exploration, imaginative play, and meaningful experiences. Our approach fosters curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning, encouraging children to discover the world around them while building important social, emotional, and academic skills. We are thrilled to announce that after 27+ wonderful years of nurturing young minds, our preschool is expanding to welcome children from 18 months up to four years of age! This exciting milestone allows us to provide our signature enriching experiences—including weekly sports sessions with Proventus and vibrant music classes with a qualified teacher—to more families than ever before. Our dedication to fostering creativity, confidence, and joy remains at the heart of everything we do, and we look forward to embarking on this new chapter with you and your child.
